I was at COSI for family night and Macy (my 4 year-old) got sick. It was a halloween theme and Macy was adorable in her fairy outfit in spite of the impending vomit bath.
As we sat on a bench in the hallway I noticed that there were several people (adults) walking around that I thought might be in costume. Upon further reflection I realized that they might not be dressed up...they always look that way!
As I thought about this (and where the nearest family restroom was) I wondered how often others thought this about church people. Were they dressed up or were they really like that? Where is the line between being a 'fool for Christ' and being foolish?
Next time you are out and about think about what 'costume' your action are wearing. Do people wonder if you are really like that or is that just an act for the evening?
