Mark 5
This morning's passage is a flurry of activity. Jesus demonstrates His power over demons, sickness and even death. This is an example of the Kingdom of God that will "crash" into earth at Jesus' second coming. While we could spend time talking about each of the miracles, there was one phrase that stuck out to me - and it is my FV (Favorite Verse) for today.
Verse 6, 22, & 33 all have some variation of a person falling at Jesus' feet out of worship and reverence. As I was reading I realized that in my life I ask for a lot from Jesus, but rarely do I find myself falling before Him in worship. I was pretty convicted of this as I prayed through the passage. I'm all for an intimate relationship with Christ, but too often I have forgotten who He is. If I really believe Jesus can do amazing things, why don't I really worship Him and not just pretend to bow - more like a ritual to get through so I can get to the "good stuff"?
May you each fall at Jesus' feet with me today and worship the One who not only can do miracles, but can help us change the world around us.
Under the Mercy,
Jason
